Some people consider var. maughanii to be a species of its own, largely because the leaves come out in a spiral, but most now say it is just a variety of H. truncata. Leaf windows have a snowflake pattern on them. Plants flower off and on all year round. Haworthias are primarily winter growers so give more water in the cooler months and less during the hot months.
