Kirk named CFO of HCH and TSC

Chad Kirk has been named Chief Financial Officer for HomeCare & Hospice and Total Senior Care; officials announced effective August 5th.   Mr. Kirk, a lifelong resident of the area, brings over 20 years of expertise in financial management and organizational skills within the non-profit healthcare sector.

“We are excited for Chad to join our team.  He will bring leadership and general oversight to all fiscal department operations, information technology functions, and related management activities,” stated Melissa Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer.

As the controller/accountant at Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems for the past ten years, Mr. Kirk coordinated and administered daily financial operations for three non-profit companies under the Journey Health System umbrella.

Mr. Kirk said, “I am very delighted to be joining Homecare and Hospice and Total Senior Care and look forward to strengthen their financial viability and improve employee technology services to ensure services are available to our community for generations to come.”

Mr. Kirk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management-Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. He is currently a board of director and finance committee member for the United Way of the Bradford Area. In addition to his organizational duties for United Way, Mr. Kirk also helps at many of their events (Pig Roast, Clam Bake, Day of Action, and Soup Lunch) and as a volunteer at the annual Festa Italiana in Bradford as a representative of the United Way.

Mr. Kirk will replace Susan Nelson, who has served as Chief Financial Officer for the last 37 years. Ms. Nelson plans to retire at the end of the year.  “Susan Nelson’s leadership and expertise as CFO for our organizations has been exemplary; she will be missed by all.  We are so fortunate to have had her for so many years and privileged to have Chad join our team and train under Sue’s leadership.”
